I NEED HELP! I have been seeig a pain management specialist for five or six years. At that time we were living in Florida. We are attempting to make our last trip across the USA in our motorhome; I had made arrangements with my pain doc to have prescriptions sent to me at appropriate intervals as we maede our way tward northern California. My pain doc threw a monkey wrench into my plans at my last visit. He was closing his practice and moving to Colorado. My PCP hesitantly agreed to send me scripts when I needed them, but was not comfortable giving me tne same amount and strength that I had been getting. Instead of 60 tabs 80 mg oxycontin and 15 mg of oxycodone for breadthrugh paim, 4 daily. I had been taking 8-12 a day. I am almost out of my meds and will not get to our final destination fir 6 weeks. I am looking for a pain doc that might be willing to help me get home. I have RA,degemerative osteo in hands and back and progressive neuropathic pain in mh feet and hands; Life without pain meds isn't worth much. If you know a doctor that might be willing to see me to help me get home I would be so greatful.
